Hey everyone! This is Sam/Sara. I thought I'd just give a little update. I'm currently not in Logan right now. I moved down to Salt Lake just for the semester and I've heard some pretty crazy things are going on down here. I'll try and keep you posted, I haven't done any investigating yet, because I don't exactly have a team down here, but it sounds pretty intense. I've heard some rumors about the semitary in Holladay that I want to explore and investigate a little further.

Jessica Stevens - Lead Investigator/Founder

Hey everyone, my name is Jessica Stevens and I am one of the founders of a paranormal investigation organization called LUPA and I am also an investigator for Paranormal Utah. The paranormal has always been one of my passions and I've been conducting my own little ghost hunts since I can remember. I had a lot of experinces with seeing shadows and hearing voices when I was younger, but they never really frightened me. As I got older I started really researching ghost hunting and I feel that I know what I'm talking about for the most part. My two favorite TV shows are Ghost Hunters and Supernatural... obviously. I have a strong belief in the paranormal but become a little skeptical when it comes to evidence, so that's why when I go on a hunt I want to make sure that I have the kind of proof that no one can turn down.

Interests
Other than the paranormal I love to write, play music (guitar and sing), and I absolutely love animals. I love the outdoors and participate in camping, hunting and just exploring the mountain on horseback. I also love to read, especially fantacies. My friends and I also have a lot of fun making stupid little movies that are really only funny to us. I really like most kinds of music, but I'm a fan of classic rock and of bands like My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Boys Like Girls, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, but I also love country.

The Legend

It's said that on midnight of a full moon you can see the statue in the middle of the Cronquist plot weeping for her lost children. Mrs. Cronquist lost more than one child and devoted the rest of her life tending to their graves. When she finally passed away her husband had a statue errected in her likeness that was then placed in the center of the family plot. There are a few of different variations to this legend such as the statue will cry blood or that if you circle the statue and cry out "Woman weep" 3 times that you will hear moaning and crying.

Cameron Harper - Investigator

This is Cameron... he's too lame to write his own bio so he asked me (Jess) to do it for him. I didn't really know Cameron until this year so I can't tell you his whole life story, but I told him about the investigations that we were conducting and he was interested, so we took him on as an investigator. So yeah, that's Cameron as far as I know... he told me to make something cool up, but I really don't feel like it... so this is what he gets until he does his own bio.

November 10, 2007

I was just chillin' in my room when Sam came and told me that the woman was crying. I didn't really believe her so the both of us headed back over to the cemetary to check it out. Beneath her left eye the stone was a little darker and it was wet. It wasn't very much and Sam said that it had dried a little bit. I tried, but there's really just no explanation for it. The only thing though was that it was a new moon instead of a full moon like the legend states. Oh well, you will definately be seing more of this investigation.

So I was just talking to the founder of Paranormal Utah and he was telling me about some of his experiences with the Weeping Woman Statue. He said as he got looking at the statue it looked like it had been made in such a way as to collect water and then deposit the water throuh the eyes. So yes, it would seem that the statue does actually weep, but not because of the paranormal. If you look closely he said that you could actually see the mineral stains from times where she has cried... so sorry guys, but this one's going to be debunked. The wet eyes have been explained away, but there's still a couple of weird experiences in the cemetary, so I think we'll be investigating the cemetary as a whole instead of just focusing on one supposedly haunted statue.
